About FairPay
Mission
Every worker in Japan deserves to know whether they are being paid fairly — regardless of language or legal expertise.
Data source
Market comparison data comes from Japan's MHLW Basic Survey on Wage Structure via the e-Stat API. Overtime calculations use the official multipliers from the Labor Standards Act.
Every number and recommended service is catalogued in our SOURCES.md — a full disclosure of every data source, recommendation, and confidence level.
Privacy
- Your inputs (salary, hours, …) are stored only in your browser (sessionStorage) and are never sent to a server.
- We collect anonymous usage stats (page views) to improve the tool — never anything that identifies you or your inputs.
- No account is required.
How FairPay is funded
FairPay is free and needs no account. To keep it running, some links to outside services that are relevant to your result are affiliate links, marked (PR). We earn a referral fee only if you sign up or buy through one of them. Services we partner with directly are marked 提携.
Affiliate links appear only when they fit your result — whether a link is shown, and the order it appears in, never affects the wage data or your verdict. We also place no behavior-tracking ad pixels on the page.
